The British Association for Ophthalmic Pathology is a professional society including pathologists, ophthalmologists, scientists and researchers, all with a common interest in eye pathology. Members learn from each other and share their experience as well as providing input on eye pathology-related matters to other professional bodies (such as the Royal College of Pathologists and Royal College of Ophthalmologists).
The first meeting of the society was in 1981. Annual meetings have been held since (with the exception of 2020-21). The 2026 meeting will be in Glasgow.
If you have a professional interest in eye pathology (you do not need to be UK-based) and have questions or comments about the work of BAOP, feel free to contact us using the form below. If what you've seen so far makes you want to join the society, please complete the application form.
